Massive thank you to Jacques from New Hall Wine Estate for coming to Braintree last night for a wonderful Wine Tasting Evening. The second of our Meet The Essex Wine Maker series.

The evening included a taste of this little beaut - the Single Estate, Limited Edition, Bacchus Fume, as well as a superb 2025 Signature.

Next up in the series on Thursday 4th June are the folks from Toppesfield Vineyard which is just 8 miles away from Braintree. We have 2 tables left - get in touch if you'd like to come along!

We can't wait to see you as many of you as possible at the Festival In The Gardens this weekend. It's going to be proper hot so make sure you "Slip, Slop, Slap" the suncream on and keep yourselves hydrated whilst consuming some of our wonderful beverages!

Also, we're going to be launching a Steinholding Competition! It's all in the name of 2 incredible causes and should be excellent fun. Come and get yourself on the Leader Board! YOU'VE GOT THE POWER!

The only downside is that Opening Times at our actual bar on the High Street will be a little later on Saturday, instead of our usual 13.00 opening, we'll be opening the doors at 15.00.

MEET THE ESSEX WINEMAKER @ Number 92

What a way to start our new series of events.

Packed room, Graham and Caroline brought 7 wines, not the 5 promised, and everyone had a fantastic evening.

Next up is New Hall Wine Estate on Thursday 21st May, we have 4 places left.

This week's £7.50 Drinks Special at Number 92 - Rhubarb Crumble & Custard!

We're loving getting creative with a stack of rhubarb that one of our customers dropped in. This week it is a liquid rhubarb crumble and custard. Tastes sublime, looks great and is pretty potent to boot.

MEET THE ESSEX WINEMAKER @ Number 92

At Number 92 we have always supported local as much as possible - local cheese, coffee, cured meats, spirits and, of course, wine.

To further cement this, we have organised a series of events titled "MEET THE ESSEX WINEMAKER". The first batch of these evenings sees 3 amazing vineyards join us for the night where we will be sampling, chatting and learning about the incredible growth of the Essex Wine Industry.

- Graham Martin, Founding Partner of Martin's Lane will join us on Thursday 7th May
- Jacques Huysamer, Head Winemaker is next up on Thursday 21st May
- Jame Moore, Owner of Toppesfield Vineyard completes the initial set on Thursday 4th June

All 3 will be bringing award-winning, top end, Essex wines for us to try. Paired canapés will be provided on all the evening.

This Week's £7.50 Drinks Special @ Number 92

A lovely customer dropped in some beautiful rhubarb in to us and as a result we've created a fabulous Rhubarb & Ginger white rum. It's so delicious that we didn't want to muck about with it too much so have just added some lime and agave and come up with a sensational RHUBARB & GINGER DAIQUIRI.

As ever with our weekly specials, we've only produced one bottle of the base spirit - so first come, first served.
