We are delighted to introduce our new manager, Lea Callo, to team Berts, who has a few words to share:

"I'm originally from France, where hospitality and gastronomy are at the heart of the culture. Twelve years ago, I came to Belfast for what was meant to be a short holiday, but I fell in love with the city and decided to make it my home. My passion for food led me to work as a chef before going on to run my own restaurant, where creating memorable dining experiences became my main focus.

I’d like to introduce one of my favourite wines on our wine list here at Berts: Gigondas Grapillon d'Or. Produced in the southern Rhône Valley, not far from where I grew up, this wine holds a special place for me. Made from a classic blend of Syrah and Grenache, it is a wonderful expression of the region, offering rich dark fruit flavours, subtle spice, excellent structure and a long, elegant finish. I would pair it with our French onion soup or baked Camembert to start, followed by our delicious ribeye steak.

I'm excited to begin my journey at Berts Jazz Bar and hope to warmly welcome you soon."
