YEAR 5. What a year it's been… full of ups and downs. Full of change and growth — as people, as a team, as a company. A year to grow and purge. A year to demand more of ourselves and of our service.
And a year to outgrow. Not every person who starts the journey with you is meant to finish it with you. Some you carry for longer than you should have. Character has a way of revealing itself slowly — and when it does, you learn to be grateful for the clarity. The circle gets smaller. The path gets cleaner. And you move faster.
It was also a year of challenges. Two huge renovations — Tipsy Bee and The Hive — all while launching the Tipsy Bee Merch line. The last time we sat in the sun we were on a beach in the Philippines talking about our plans. That was 2024. But like they say — tell God your plans and he'll show you his. Funny how everything that happened since had absolutely nothing to do with what we had in our heads.
I said it on the 23rd and I'll say it again — thank you.
To our crew — the ones in front of you and the ones in the shadows. The tired hands that make your meals, wash the dishes, and keep this place running. To Macfrinox — to Jesús and his team, thank you for being there not just as contractors but as people who truly have our back. To our lawyers for answering calls on late nights and weekends. To our families — especially our parents, who we don't get to see nearly enough. To the friends who know we rarely show up — not because we don't want to, but because we simply can't.
To the regulars who come anyway. To the ones who started as customers and somehow became more. To Charlie and Yaiza — Yaiza, you're booked for the 23rd of June every year. To Riki and Dani for the décor we always forget to ask for but always somehow have. To Publikate for patience with our last-minute chaos.
And to everyone who got our logo permanently inked — that really made us smile. 🐝
The hospitality industry isn't meant for the faint of heart. The days are long, the work behind the scenes is invisible, and yet — a single smile from a customer makes every bit of it worth it.
So to everyone who filled our little memory box over the last 5 years — who kept our hearts full even when our spirits were low — thank you.
