🏆 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧'𝗦 𝗔 𝗪𝗥𝗔𝗣! 🏆

Well... that's the 2026 World Cup over, and what a ride it's been at Stanley's! 🍻⚽

A huge thank you to everyone who packed the bar, cheered, celebrated, argued with the ref from 3,000 miles away and drank us out of beer. You lot made every game brilliant! ❤️

England may not have brought it home, but finishing 3rd after battering France 6-4 isn't exactly a bad way to end the tournament! 😉🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🥉

Then came the final...

Spain 🇪🇸 vs Argentina 🇦🇷

Football? ✔️

Drama? ✔️

Play acting? ✔️✔️

Questionable tackles? ✔️✔️✔️

Enough drama to last until the next World Cup? ✔️😂

Even after the final whistle, Argentina still hadn't quite accepted that it was over. 👊🏻🙄

But none of it mattered because Spain got the only thing that counts...

🏆 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗖𝗨𝗣! 🇪🇸 🥳

And can we just have a quick word about that half-time show... 🤦🏼‍♀️

Only the Americans could think, "Do you know what this World Cup Final needs? Less football and more showbiz!" 😂

Seriously though, thank you to every single customer who chose Stanley's to watch the tournament. Whether you were cheering, groaning, celebrating, or convincing the referee he needed Specsavers, you've all helped create an amazing atmosphere from the first match to the last.

💔 Not the result we were hoping for tonight...

England's World Cup dream came to an end with a 2-1 defeat to Argentina.

But what a night at Stanley's! 🙌 Once again the bar was absolutely PACKED! The atmosphere was electric from start to finish. You sang, you cheered, you shouted, and you got right behind the team. Unfortunately, tonight just wasn't meant to be.

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us and made it another unforgettable football night. ❤️⚽

You lot were absolutely incredible! 🔥

The atmosphere was 𝗢𝗙𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗦! The place was absolutely packed, and when England scored... the noise was 𝗔𝗕𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗬 𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚! 🙌⚽

We were so busy that not one member of staff got to watch more than a few seconds of the match... and that's exactly how we like it! ❤️

A massive thank you to everyone who chose Stanley's to watch the game with us. You made it a night to remember!

🚰 𝗔 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗖𝗞 𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥...

Unfortunately, there was a water outage affecting the whole back end of the shopping centre for around 30 minutes. Completely out of our control, but we managed to source water so the toilets could still be flushed and everything kept running.

Then... someone decided to skip the "tell a member of staff" stage and go straight into 𝗗𝗜𝗬 𝗣𝗟𝗨𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 mode... removing parts from the ladies' toilet instead. 🤦🏼‍♀️🔧🚽

So, thanks to our mystery plumber, the ladies' toilet is now 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗥 until we can get replacement parts tomorrow.

💡 𝗣𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗖 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧: If something isn't working...

𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗟 𝗔 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗙𝗙.
