GRETCHEN's program as a (live) club reflects the complexity of current musical trends. GRETCHEN loves to offer a stage to young and/or (still) unknown artists.

We curate our program according to the so-called cutting-edge principle, where - of our understanding - the core feature is novelty through musical openness, which constantly expands in the dialogue of different musical styles and is characterized by tolerance, improvisation and the pursuit of innovation. In short: We are looking for niches, new and innovative sounds, exciting artists, but also he

roes from a wide range of genres, mainly outside of 4/4 time. Our styles are ranging from electronica, bass, drum'n'bass, dubstep, trap over IDM, electro, glitch, experimental, avant-garde to hip hop, funk, soul, folk, afrobeats, jazz and world, derive from one another or mix with one another. Artistic quality and originality are in the foreground, not commercial success. GRETCHEN represents Berlin, gives national and international artists, their labels, but also newcomers a platform. We support FLINTA*, LGBTIQ*, POC and other socially marginalized groups and their communities.

Der in Berlin lebende Schlagzeuger Noah Fürbringer, Mitglied des mit dem Deutschen Jazzpreis ausgezeichneten Moses Yoofee Trio, zählt zu den prägenden Figuren der Berliner Jazzszene. Der schwedische Bassist Petter Eldh bewegt sich seit über zwei Jahrzehnten an den kreativen Rändern der europäischen Jazzlandschaft. Er arbeitete unter anderem mit Kit Downes und Otis Sandsjö, ist Teil der Avantgarde-Band ØKSE und verbindet mit Projekten wie Koma Saxo und Projekt Drums akustischen Jazz, Elektronik und Beatmaking.

Gemeinsam bringen Fürbringer und Eldh ihre musikalische Sprache aus Sampling, Improvisation und intuitivem Zusammenspiel auf die Bühne. Das Ergebnis ist ein spannender Grenzgang zwischen Jazz, Hip-Hop, treibenden Dancefloor-Beats und experimenteller Elektronik und zugleich ein erster Vorgeschmack auf ihr kommendes Aufnahmeprojekt.

Botticelli Baby entziehen sich konsequent jeder Genre-Schublade. Ihr Sound ist ein fiebriger Hybrid aus Jazz, Rock, Punk, Zirkus, Chanson und urbanem Wahnsinn – roh, verspielt, ekstatisch.
Sieben Musiker auf der Bühne verschmelzen zu einem einzigen, atmenden Organismus, der treibt, taumelt, explodiert und wieder einfängt.
Was bleibt, ist dieses unaussprechliche Boah im Raum: Musik, die nicht erklärt werden will, sondern erlebt. Zum Tanzen, Lachen, Weinen, Mitgehen. Botticelli Baby machen keine Musik für Kategorien – sie machen Musik für Körper, Seele und diesen einen Moment, in dem alles gleichzeitig passiert.

Als Special Guest der nächsten G Session am 16. Juli im Gretchen begrüßen wir mit Outta Line das Berliner Duo aus Produzentin und DJ Lilah Amar und Songwriterin Maura .

Während Maura Einflüsse aus Jazz, Neo-Soul und Hip-Hop einbringt, prägt Allynx mit ihrer Leidenschaft für Broken Beat, komplexe Rhythmen und außergewöhnliche Klangtexturen den Sound des Duos. Gemeinsam verbinden sie organische Instrumentierung mit elektronischen und experimentellen Sounds. So entsteht ein musikalischer Dialog zwischen unterschiedlichen Klangwelten – gemacht für den Dancefloor und zugleich auf der Suche nach dunkleren, zeremoniellen und mystischen Atmosphären.

Mit ihrer im Sommer erscheinenden EP im Gepäck präsentieren sie bei der G Session erstmals ihr neues Material, das Live-Instrumente und elektronische Elemente auf besondere Weise miteinander verbindet.

Regarding our imminent PRESSURE party on 17/07/2026, there is good news and bad news.....!

The bad news is that Dillinja and his agent for no understandable reason, very frustratingly double booked a show in Toronto, after they had confirmed our show in advance, and have now subsequently cancelled Dillinja's Gretchen appearance ! So apologies to anyone who has purchased tickets expecting Dillinja to perform. It has been completely out of our control, and believe, myself and Lars from Gretchen are gutted.

BUT, the good news is that TIKIMAN will now perform live with SCION, as the replacement for Dillinja on the evening.... And every time i have seen Tiki perform with Scion it has been an absolute pleasure to hear them mutate Rhythm & Sound classics with dubwise expertise. A joy in fact....
