Sometimes life is a series of small moments that quietly change everything.

Through a chain of events that spans more than 25 years, ekō would not exist today if it weren’t for a chance meeting with Waseem (pictured). What seemed like a simple encounter at the time became a source of inspiration that would leave a lasting mark on how we think about music, community, culture, and creating spaces where people can connect.

The path from that moment to ekō wasn’t a straight line, but the influence was always there. Every now and then, it’s important to recognize the people who helped shape the journey, whether they realize it or not.

We’re eternally grateful for Waseem, his friendship, his vision, and the inspiration he sparked all those years ago. ekō is the result of countless influences, conversations, and communities coming together and he’s an important part of that story.

Thank you for helping inspire what eventually became ekō.

DJ Kevin Bailey & friends return for a monthly queer-centred night. Open, welcoming, and built around good music and good company. All are welcome. We’re also celebrating the birthdays of Kevin and Nabih, so expect an extra reason to stay a little later.

Friday — Choccy + Friends
Members of the Spacebarn crew take over the room for a night of adventurous selections, shared energy, and the kind of musical journey that happens when friends get behind the decks together.

Two new DJs, no big introduction, no pressure: just a shared understanding of how to listen and when to speak through music. No ego, no rush, just flow.

FRIDAY — COTY DOREGO + JELENA
A dual DJ debut paired with Coty’s birthday celebration. Expect a wide-reaching night moving through house and techno, and unexpected turns throughout the evening.

SATURDAY — KACPER KAWALA + FRIENDS / BT BASHER
KACPER KAWALA takes over alongside friends while BT BASHER launches the AIR.PLAY patio opening party. Warmer nights, open air, and music carrying from inside to out.

SUNDAY — CLUB SODA / INDUSTRY NIGHT
