What's the oldest whisky you've ever tried? This Invergordon 1974 single grain from new indie bottler has got to be up there. As you'd expect it's fairly delicate and very complex, stone fruit and spice notes are plentiful and long lingering. Well worth tasting at $96 a dram or $48 for a half.
At the other end of the spectrum, a PX cask peated Glenturret distilled in 2011. Soft BBQ-like peat in perfect harmony with the dried fruit sweetness of Ximinez Spinola. $36 a dram, $18 for a half - see you soon 🥃

Frets Patrick is an acoustic blues and folk musician based in Adelaide, South Australia. Known for his soulful performance style, he'll be treating us to some 1930s-era jazz, old folk, and traditional blues covers and arrangements.
