NYC takes Fitzroy 🍸🔥

We’re teaming up with Sip & Guzzle straight out of New York for a one-night-only pop-up at Black Pearl - and this one hits home. Steve Schneider of S&G was part of our very first takeover with Employees Only all the way back in 2013 so having him back behind the bar is well and truly a full circle moment.

Ranked #39 on the World’s 50 Best Bars 2025 and crowned Best New U.S Bar at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards 2025, Sip & Guzzle are bringing their signature NYC charm, energy and top notch cocktails here to us in Fitzroy - do not miss this! Steve and Sam will be joining us behind the bar from 8pm sharp.

OISÍN CONNEELY

All good things must come to an end. After 8 years of dedicated service, we are finally bidding farewell to our fearless leader and General Manager, Oisín Conneely.

Over the years Oisín has made a simply immeasurable impact on Black Pearl. Leading us through thick and thin, he has remained a crucial member of the team going above and beyond to create an upbeat and welcoming environment for everybody who sets foot in the door. He also makes a banging Irish Coffee.

Come on in to Pearl this Sunday to help us send the old fella off in style. Oisín, thank you for everything. See you at the bar 🍸

This Sunday night marks Ben’s last shift at Pearl. Ben will be taking some time off after before doing more casual work while working on his own projects. Ben has been the creative force behind the Attic for the last few years, creating hundreds of drinks and fun concepts for the menus as well as winning some cocktail comps.

Thank you for everything over the years Ben. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead of you Ben and you will be greatly missed by all.

Catch Ben in the Attic tonight and tomorrow or send him off in style downstairs in the Pearl on Sunday!

And don’t worry about the Attic! The Attic will continue as an event space to cater for any and all special occasions!

Kyle Jamieson & Iain McPherson of Panda and Sons opened the doors of Nauticus in August 2018 with a focus on whisky and cocktails while championing Scottish produce wherever possible. Nauticus is latin for nautical and was named as such due to Leith's historical ties with the global shipping trade.

Nauticus strives to showcase the beautiful range of Scottish produce in an elegant and comfortable setting whilst paying homage to the incredibly rich and interesting history in relation to trade and merchants dating back to the 12th century. From a rotating selection of 100+ whiskies, local beer, wines & spirits there is something for everyone in your favourite neighborhood bar.

Hitting heights over the past few years with amazing takeovers, music events and currently sitting at number 12 in the UK's Top 50 cocktail bars.
