Being a foreigner in another country can humble you in ways nobody back home will ever understand. One mistake, one misunderstanding, or simply being seen as “outsider” can leave you sleeping on cold floors in holding cells, far away from your family and everything familiar. The painful part is knowing that while you struggle to survive, get judged, and fight for dignity in a foreign land, the leaders back home live comfortably with their children, protected and enjoying life, unaware of the suffering their people endure outside the country just trying to make a better future.
