first thursday has come and gone, and cape town’s galleries have closed their doors for another month. ours stay open.

our collection is a little different. every piece is crafted by hand, poured to order and best appreciated up close. no plaques, no velvet ropes, no quiet voices required.

take your time with the exhibition. linger over the details. discuss the technique. order another piece for further study.

women’s wednesday has arrived.

midweek has a way of asking for something to look forward to. we’d suggest your favourite people, a corner booth, and a round of classic cocktails from R50.

at fable every cocktail tells a story, meet the tokoloshe. fit for tequila tuesday.

beneath a blade-thin moon, a curse was brewed and the tokoloshe answered the call.

it crept through cracked walls and under children’s beds, fouling the night with fear. at dawn, stolen food and little footprints circled the cots, ash marking the truth.

bricks were placed under every bed, a hard barrier against what crept below. for those who summon such things soon learn: once set loose, terror cannot be commanded.
