Mødular. Mødular. is a boutique nightclub bringing you the best in forward-thinking house and techno music
(660)

is a boutique nightclub providing a forward-thinking house and techno experience in Cape Town, South Africa. Established in February 2017 in the shell of a former basement disco club, Mødular. has set out to create a safe space for freedom of sonic expression, music experimentation and boundary-pushing. The club has a well-enforced NO PHOTOS policy which was the first of its kind in the city and helps to ensure the focus of the events are always on the music and dance. Over the past 7 years, the space had grown and developed into a three-room venue providing an array of dance music, open 4 days per week. Through this effort, the club has built a strong reputation with artists and dancers alike in South Africa and abroad.

Cape Town stalwarts The Fogshow are the long-running duo of David Ireton and Nick Shepherd, longtime friends who have helped shape the city’s underground techno and house scene for years. Having played at virtually every major festival in South Africa, their high-energy sets move between driving techno, rolling basslines and infectious house grooves, delivering a sound that has become synonymous with Cape Town’s dancefloors.

Recently launching WASH Records, their Cape Town-based label dedicated to showcasing local talent, the duo continue to champion the city’s underground scene.

Long-standing collaborators with Modular, The Fogshow have helped shape the Lido Bar’s identity through concepts including Midnight Oil, Bite Club and Raveyard, bringing their distinct approach to techno and house to the floor and helping cultivate the club’s underground spirit.

LIDO RESIDENT: Irshaad Samaai

Intricate basslines, mesmerising percussion and dub-infused grooves define the sound of Cape Town-based Irshaad.S. Founder of Audio Imprint and co-curator of SlowDown events, he has quietly cultivated a refined, unmistakable sound that moves between dub techno, house, deep house and everything in between.

As part of his new residency in the Lido bar at Modular, Irshaad.S will bring his Audio Imprint night to the Lido Bar every few months, creating a dedicated space for the deeper, more exploratory side of club music. Expect carefully curated selections, immersive grooves and a sound that rewards those who take the time to listen.
