March 7: Zach and Victoria at eMbers
Zach and Victoria kicked off the wedding season and it was a good one. Beautifully decorated, great family and friends, one of the funniest best man speeches I've heard in along time, and pie for dessert. Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Rayburn!

August 30: Lisa and Brandon at eMbers
Many highlights to this awesome party. My favorite: a 90s flashback mix of Bye, Bye, Bye (N'SYNC), Everybody (Backstreet Boys), and Baby Got Back and everyone busting it down like they were in the video!

August 23: Matt and Stephanie at Matt's Parents' House
What's an outdoor wedding without a dunk tank? I had no clue what this was for until Matt's Dad said after all of the dances he was getting in the tank and charging people $5 for three balls. Many people took advantage of the opportunity to dunk Steve. Steve took the opportunity to have fun and raise money for his son and daughter-in-law. A win-win for everyone as they partied until 1:30 a.m.!

August 9: Danielle and Josh at the Jasper County Fairgrounds
When people start cleaning up the tables and taking down chairs, that usually means the party is going to wind-down soon. Not this one. Everything was cleaned up and the crowd partied for another 1 1/2 hours! Danielle and Josh were the last to leave. And, whenever that happens, the crowd stays to rock out!

August 2: Jordan and Maryah at The Trails
I always enjoy when there are planned surprised through the evening that give the night just the touch for brides and grooms to call it their own. On this night, there were three out-of-the-ordinary surprises that were pretty cool.
First off, after the wedding party was introduced, the bride and groom sat on the dance floor as the bridesmaids choreographed a dance to Best Song Ever by One Direction for them. Then, Maryah jumped up and joined the ladies as Jordan looked on.
Before we began the formal dances, Maryah's brothers serenaded the bride and groom with You and I by One Direction. (Maryah is a big 1D fan!) Finally, Maryah a choreographed dance a with her father to Eastbound and Down. All in all, a fun celebration that Maryah and Jordan will never forget!

July 5: Michael and Kirsten at eMbers
Kirsten guaranteed a party and her crowd delivered! The dance floor was packed for 4+ hours with people from all across the country and world.
The wedding party was energetic and fun and decided to do something fun with what can be an ordinary part of the night: the wedding party dance. The ladies lined up on one side of the dance floor and the men on the other. Then they had a dance show-down to the 90s jam "Bust a Move". Very cool!

June 28: Kelsey and Gerrett at the Rensselaer Fair Grounds

I'm seeing more and more brides use a vintage/throwback theme and this was one of them. Kelsey created the banners across the venue and many of the center piece items. They even brought in wooden chairs for the guests. A very "vintage" item that gave the tables a different (in a cool way!) look.
As for the party, it was another country crowd that capped the night off with Fishin' in the Dark and Rocky Top Tennessee!

May 31: Marissa and Alex at the Tippecanoe Country Club

Same venue as the week before. Same first name of the bride. Some of the same guests. And, another wonderful night along Lake Shafer.

Something that is becoming popular with my clients is honoring their parents with anniversary dances using the song they danced to at their wedding. It just adds a nice touch of class to the night!

May 23: Logan and Marissa at the Tippicanoe Country Club

A Friday night reception that was set on the shores of a lake provided the perfect backdrop to a beautiful, relaxing night.
