Nếu bạn là fan của Negroni thì Meguroni là món đầu tiên trong menu Modern Classic kiểu Nhật của Above mà bạn không thể bỏ qua.

Meguroni là một cú twist đỉnh kout của quán bar Katana Kitten ở New York, Mỹ khi thay thế Gin trong Negroni bằng Genever, thay Campari bằng Caffo Red Bitter, và vermouth bằng rượu mơ ngâm.

Người anh em họ hàng Genever đến từ Hà Lan này đậm, ngọt và nồng nàn hơn, như một loại spirit pha trộn giữa Gin và Whiskey khi ta có thể cảm nhận được rõ ràng các loại mạch nha trong rượu này.

Caffo Red Bitter là một loại bitter khá hiếm thấy ở Việt Nam, quán phải nhờ bạn xách tay vài chai từ Mỹ về. Caffo Red Bitter cho ra vị ngọt dịu của cam và cay của spice được nướng hơn so với các bitter khác.

Cuối cùng là aged umeshu, hay còn gọi là brandy mơ, được chọn để thay thế vermouth sẽ mang tới một vị chua tuyệt vời của sự liên kết giữa trái cây và thảo mộc.

Nói là twist nhưng Katana Kitten bar đã thay hết các nguyên liệu của 1 classic Negroni để mang tới cho khách hàng một hương vị hoàn toàn mới của nước Nhật.
