Last Friday, C Bar had the pleasure of welcoming Saigon Soul Revival for a night that felt like a little journey through Vietnam’s musical past.

With their vintage-inspired sound and soulful energy, the band brought timeless Vietnamese melodies back to life in a way that felt both nostalgic and wonderfully fresh. From the first song to the last, the room was filled with familiar rhythms, warm voices, and people simply enjoying the moment together.

Some nights are about discovering new music. Others remind us why certain songs stay with us for so long.

On Friday, September 11, we welcome Saigon Soul Revival for one unforgettable night in Da Nang β€” bringing the raw, hypnotic sounds of 1960s–70s Saigon back to life.

Formed in Ho Chi Minh City in 2016, Saigon Soul Revival blends rock, soul and psychedelia from the golden era of nhαΊ‘c vΓ ng with heavy grooves and traditional Vietnamese elements with a contemporary twist β€” creating a nostalgic yet modern sound full of groove, energy and Vietnamese character.

The band has taken this unique sound far beyond Vietnam, performing internationally at WOMAD, Trans Musicales and featuring in a live session for KEXP.
