This is normally a post I make at the end of the year when I look back at some of the losses we experienced during the year but this last week has been pretty rough.

The loss of Ozzy, The Prince of Darkness, has touched many during the week and I represented him with a drink that is blood red in color. No bats were harmed in the making of this cocktail.

Hulk Hogan was another big loss and her gets represented by a Tequila Sunrise riff to showcase his classic red and yellow Hulkamania colors.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner gets a blueberry gin and tonic for a tribute to the Theo Huxtable character he played on the Cosby show.

In addition to these losses this week, I started looking into the other names we have lost so far and it occurred to me it was time to put together a list for the half way point of 2025. Gene Hackman, Michael Madsen, Val Kilmer, and George Wendt are just some of the others we have lost. So please enjoy these cocktails as we raise a glass in honor of there collected works!

Sadly, the great Willie Mays has passed away this week and as a way to honor his 12 Golden Glove awards I present a classic 1930’s era cocktail known as the Golden Glove.

Appleton Estate Rum with triple sec, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and a dash of Angostura Orange Bitters makes a tart and refreshing cocktail that’s is perfect for the summer heat and watching Americas past time.
