Hey Celebrate Swing community! As Illinois begins to open up, many of you are asking when our dances will resume. Right now, Celebrate Swing is on pause until further notice. We miss you all and we will continue to assess the safety of reopening.

Hello Celebrate Swing community,

March Celebrate Swing is Postponed. We will continue to monitor the CDC for updated information.

We can't in good conscience bring 50-70 dancers together given the uncertain state of Covid-19. We believe this is the right thing to do to help flatten the curve, aka reduce the burden on a healthcare system that is already at capacity.

While most of us are healthy - some of us are immunocompromised, have elderly loved ones at home, or at a minimum come in contact with all sorts of folks who could be at risk. We are all about community, and we feel this is the safest decision that means protecting everyone in this community.

We spent several hours looking around at other dance communities both near and far, the CDC reports, local and international trends; and it has become clear what we ought to do.

It was very hard for us to arrive at this decision. Though we dearly love our dance, we love this community more.

We want our dance to a fun and safe place for everyone. 😍

So we have a fun code conduct (snuck in some funny bits 😅) that helps describe what that means. It also goes over some nice dance etiquette tips.
