The countdown is on! 💃🕺Get your dancing shoes ready: In 4 WEEKS Winona will be moving and grooving to the sounds of LIVE music and dancing at the much anticipated yearly event Salsa in the Street 2026 - FREE Outdoor Street Dance ! 🪇🎶

On Friday, September 18 from 6-11pm, the entire community is invited to a free Dance Party thrown by River City Dancers/Breitlow Ballroom. Dance lessons led by April Dahl will be from 6-7 pm, non-stop live music from Salsa del Soul will run from 7-9pm. Late-night dancing in the street will continue on until 11 pm.

The event will be on Third Street at the corner of Center Street (in front of Blooming Grounds Coffee House).

Come listen to great music or glide across the dance floor yourself!

Get your kids moving, smiling, and building confidence on the dance floor! This fun, high-energy workshop introduces young dancers to the world of Latin dance, featuring Bachata and Cumbia. Students will learn foundational steps, basic turns, and partner connection in an upbeat environment. We’ll explore fun combinations including turn patterns, and lead/follow styling—with an emphasis on developing rhythm, coordination, and teamwork.

No experience needed—just bring energy and a smile!

✨Adult Workshop, ages 15 and up, 3:30-5:30

Step onto the dance floor with confidence and style! This dynamic Latin Dance Workshop will focus on Bachata and Cumbia, guiding you through foundational footwork, partner connection, and beginner-friendly turn patterns. You’ll build from foundational steps into easy-to-use combinations, including lead/follow styling in a fun, welcoming environment. Whether you’re brand new or looking to sharpen your skills, this class will have you dancing confidently on the dance floor!

🙌 Are you ready for the last Summer STREET DANCE?!

Mark your calendars, Winona, because this one’s going to be 🔥. Downtown Third Street will be twisting and vibing to the sounds of LIVE Latin music at the much-anticipated fall dance “Salsa In The Street!” 💃

On Friday, September 18 from 6-11 pm, RAIN OR SHINE, the community is invited to a free dance party thrown by River City Dancers/Breitlow Ballroom. April Dahl 🕺 will teach a beginning Salsa lesson from 6-7 pm, Salsa del Soul will provide LIVE Latin music from 7-9 pm. Late-night Latin dancing in the street will continue on from 9-11 pm with a DJ. 🎤

Salsa del Soul is a Twin Cities-based, nine-piece orchestra that performs various styles of dance music from the Spanish-speaking regions of the Caribbean. 🪘 They represent some of the finest talents in the Twin Cities Latin music scene 🪇 with styles including Son, Son Montuno, Plena, Cha-cha-cha, Bachata, Merengue, Timba, and, of course, Salsa! 🎵 🎶

This incredible event will be on Third Street at the corner of Center Street (in front of Blooming Grounds).

🗣️ ALL ARE WELCOME at this party...Come fill our street with music and dancing for the final event of the season!
