American Rose Theater is now accepting applications for our NEW dates of April 30-May 2nd for the 2020 Midwest Burlesque Festival!

We are changing the dates of the 2020 MWBF.
A venue we've used for years is under new ownership and we were informed that Burlesque is no longer welcome there! 😠😢😮
We have secured a new venue and the dates are changing to APRIL 30th-MAY 2nd.
Sunday May 3rd will be for workshops.
�Midwest Burlesque Festival 2020 is now accepting applications and act submissions! Yes, we are accepting aerial act submissions too!
Hello, this is “Satine” here, director and producer of American Rose Theater! �We are looking for Burlesque Headliners and Legends, showcase acts, kittens, Emcees, and Judges! If you’re a Burly girl or boy and want to perform in this festival, please kindly visit the links below to apply and pay the application fee of $30. �You can submit up to 4 acts!! �Past performers and members of American Rose Theater will get a discount of $10, (so application fee will be $20.)

Headliners chosen will be paid per act, given a travel stipend, performer lodging, a place to sell your merch at the events, a place on the workshop schedule if you would like to hold a workshop, and some transportation while you’re in town.
Out of town performers not headlining may be given performer lodging if needed, a travel stipend, place to sell merch, and paid per act.
We will have awards for Ms. and Mr. Midwest Burlesque 2020, Best Tease, Most Original, Master of Tassels & Assels, and more!
The festival runs April 30 – May 2nd, with workshops on Sunday May the 3rd. Here is a quick run-down of the order of events:
April 30: Meet & Greet and sneak peek performances at Tight Ends Sports Bar and Grill.
May 1st: Showcase at Cowtown’s Empire Room. Winner of audience choice will get to perform at the deluxe showcase the next evening. After party TBA...
May 2nd: Deluxe Showcase at Scottish Rite. Contest and awards. Attend the fabulous Gala afterwards.
May 3rd: Workshops!!
