The Wichita Blues Society and Walker’s at Works are bringing another unforgettable night of live music to Wichita with Thorn Haze on Friday, August 28, from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM!

If you haven’t experienced Thorn Haze yet, you’re in for something truly unique. Blending blues, indie rock, alternative, and Americana into a sound that’s all his own, Thorn creates an electrifying one-man performance packed with soulful vocals, gritty guitar work, driving rhythms, and an atmosphere that pulls you in from the very first note. His music is rooted in storytelling, inspired by Kansas backroads and southern gothic blues, delivering a performance that’s both haunting and exhilarating.

After spending years working behind the scenes with artists including Santana, Gary Clark Jr., Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, and Steve Stevens, Thorn stepped into the spotlight with his own music, earning a growing national following through his ambitious songwriting projects and powerful live shows. His latest album, Hymns For Heathens, showcases the raw emotion and fearless creativity that have made him one of Kansas’ most exciting emerging artists.

🎶 HERE’S A LITTLE ABOUT THE ARTIST...

Born in Burns, Kansas, Thorn Haze is a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter whose music refuses to stay inside one box. Blending blues, indie, rock, alternative, country, and darker Southern Gothic influences, Haze creates music that is raw, atmospheric, personal, and packed with storytelling.

A self-taught musician who began playing guitar, bass, ukulele, brass, and drums at a young age, Haze has built a fascinating career both onstage and behind the scenes. His audio work has included artists such as Gary Clark Jr., Santana, and Steve Stevens.

In 2023, Haze took on the incredible challenge of writing and recording a new song every single day for an entire year, a creative journey that helped shape his evolving sound. His later projects, including "La Luz" and "Hymns For Heathens", dive even deeper into blues, indie, country, and Southern Gothic territory.

And LIVE is where it all comes together. 🎸🔥
