We were honored to welcome Great American Whiskey Cookers out to Wildcat Distilling Co.!

These guys are doing something we can really get behind: shining a spotlight on the distilleries that are still doing things the hard way. The long way. The authentic way.

From growing grain and milling it ourselves to distilling right here in Iowa, we're proud to be part of a community of makers who believe great whiskey starts long before it ever reaches the barrel.

A huge thank you to the Great American Whiskey Cookers crew for spending time with us and helping tell the stories behind America's craft distilleries.

Webster City friends, we need your help!

As we continue working on the new tasting room, we're putting together a fun project celebrating the history and character of Webster City.

We're looking for old photos of downtown businesses, Main Street, local landmarks, community events, historic buildings, industries, railroads, hotels, taverns, storefronts, streetscapes, and other scenes from Webster City's past.

If you have digital copies or scanned photos you'd be willing to share, please send them to us in a Facebook message! We know there are some wonderful historical collections in the community, but we're also hoping to uncover some lesser-seen images and unique pieces of local history that might not be as widely available.

If you have something you'd like to contribute, we'd love to take a look.

We are so excited to have this great group right next door and to be part of some truly unique and fun experiences!

Though we are not open yet, we plan to be there for the first show. And once everything is officially approved, stay tuned—we will be bringing beverage service to these fun, family-friendly events. Whether you are looking for a cocktail, a mocktail, or just something cold to sip while enjoying the show, we will have you covered.

We cannot wait to see what they have in store!

Memorial Day weekend in Iowa: sunshine, grills fired up, lakes calling your name… and somebody’s uncle already arguing about how to properly smoke brisket.

But somewhere in the middle of all the fun, we do want to take a moment to remember the people who made this freedom possible in the first place.

Here is to good company, grateful hearts, and raising a glass to those who gave everything.

Still no official opening date yet. We are continuing to work through permits, inspections, and all the fun little details that come with bringing an old building back to life.

But progress is happening.

Walls are getting stenciled.
Details are coming together.
Dust is everywhere.
And the new Wildcat space is slowly starting to feel like home.

Turns out historic renovations require a little patience… and apparently a questionable willingness to hand-stencil walls after swearing you never would again.

It is taking longer than we hoped, but we are building something worth doing right.

May the 4th be with you… even if the tasting room is currently in its villain origin story. The force is strong… but the doors are still closed while we build something worth the hype.

In the meantime, you can still get your hands on Wildcat out in the wild—just ask your local liquor store to bring it in. (Use the force. Or, you know… your words.)

Patience, young Padawan. The comeback is going to be worth it.
