The Consultant is responsible for collaborating with leadership, subject matter experts, other internal personnel and external vendors to manage and/or assist with:

• Creating skill based manufacturing career paths, and facilitating leadership training for first and mid-level management.

• Developing and implementing manufacturing competencies and design workforce career paths models, assessment

s and development plans to improve company performance and associate career growth.

• Conducting HR data analysis using statistical methods and applications, in order to evaluate the outcomes of the effectiveness of programs.

• Identifying and assessing training, development and performance issues at the organization, process and job levels

• Assessing current talent, identify the skill gaps and develop curriculum that will help career advancement to support the growth of the company.

• Identifying appropriate training, development and performance improvement solutions and training curricula, including the most effective delivery methods

• Selecting and/or developing customized instructional materials and assessment instruments

• Developing training-related goals and objectives

• Establishing and implementing measures for the effectiveness for training and development programs.

• Design, develop and implement a talent review process that coordinates with performance reviews and competency models for high potentials and succession candidates.

• Enhance succession planning processes that will help balance internal advancement and external hiring.

• Manages instructional design process to ensure that deliverables are completed on time, on budget and according to specifications. Continuously assesses and improves training and development courses and programs. Provides consultative support to departments regarding training and development initiatives.

• Mentors and leads subordinates by establishing performance expectations, assessing individual training needs and planning for goal attainment. Responsible for personnel activities such as hiring, terminations, disciplinary actions, and preparing performance evaluations for all staff members. Ensures that staff receives appropriate training.

• Prepares and monitors budget for area/function/department. Oversees the development and management of training-related departmental databases. Creates and administers policies related to training and development. Attends seminars/conferences to keep apprised of new issues and emerging trends. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE PAST

• Assist underperforming departments with targeted interventions to return those departments to a high performing status.

• Conducts needs analysis with mgmt. to recommend and create organizational development solutions to meet organizational needs and opportunities by including identification of areas needing organizational change by applying appropriate root cause analysis, process improvement, change management and project planning support.

• Partnering with HR and leaders to assess organizational design, leadership and team effectiveness and development needs.

• Identify opportunities for assessment and facilitates and coaches leaders and or HR teams using assessment tools and feedback.

• Reviews effectiveness of organization’s Associate Development process by implementing assessments of effectiveness of training in terms of associate accomplishments and performance based on an integrated approach to developing people.

• Manages all aspects of the operational and personnel activities of Training and Development functions.

• Collaborates with management staff, internal personnel and external vendors to manage and assist with assessing training and performance improvement needs at the organization, process and job level and to develop goals, objectives and measures for the effectiveness of training and development activities in light of overall division and organization strategy.

• Communicates and implements change management initiatives.

• Works with leadership to develop and implement career progression models and related training and development requirements.

• Collaborates with management staff, internal personnel and external vendors to manage and/or assist with identifying, developing and implementing specific training curricula to support new Associate orientation, on-boarding, cross-cultural understanding, management localization, on-the-job training, career planning, succession planning, personal development, leadership development and other areas, as required.

• Collaborates with internal subject matter experts, affiliate training departments and/or external training providers to manage and/or assist with the selection, design, development and/or customization of appropriate technical and non-technical training course materials, such as workbooks, leader guides, demonstration models, case studies, visual aids, tests, etc.

• Oversees and assists with determining appropriate training delivery methods such as individual coaching, group instruction, self-study, web-based instruction, etc.

• Functions as in-house expert to provide coaching and consultative support to internal departmental personnel regarding training, development, and performance improvement issues.

• Oversees the delivery of technical and non-technical training courses including class scheduling, class registrations, training room set-up, publishing of course materials, tests administration, etc.

• Manages and/or assists with the design, administration and reporting of Associate testing or other assessment activities in order to measure the effectiveness and relevance of training and development programs and individual sessions.

• Manages and/or assists with the creation and administration of policies and procedures related to training and development activities.

• Mentors, coaches and leads subordinates by developing performance expectations, assessing individual training needs and planning for goal attainment. Reviews work of subordinates for accuracy. Recommends personnel actions such as hiring, firing and disciplines, and completes performance evaluations.

• Oversees the development and design of a central database, or multiple databases, to house and track training and development related information. Ensures the recording of training and development activities and employee progress on an individual Associate basis.

• Attends seminars and conferences to keep apprised of new issues and emerging trends within the field.

• Ensures compliance with general organization-wide and department-specific ISO/TS 16949 requirements.

• Participates in and supports environmental ISO 14001 and safety activities by developing supporting goals and objectives, attending required training, complying with established procedures and initiating and implementing corrective actions, as needed.

• Create and deliver written and verbal reports and presentations to inform senior leaders of progress; Create, monitor, and improve methods to ensure skills transition to the job.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.
