SLEAZE is a monthly party blending the darker sides of disco with forward-thinking techno. We pay homage to past eras of gay nightlife & culture in order to usher in a new breed of LGBTQ+ nightlife in Washington, DC. We aim to bring you the highest caliber of underground DJs and performers from all over while highlighting incredible local talent.

In 1985, after losing significant market share to diet soda and - gasp! - Pepsi, the The Coca Cola Company introduced New Coke, a reformulation of the original product for a new generation. While the launch initially met with great success, public opinion soon soured and the old formula, branded as Coca Cola Classic, was reintroduced to much celebration. Which is to say that’s not at all what we’re doing here - we’ve loved our time at DC9 (best bar in the city just saying) and will miss it greatly - but wouldn’t it be so slay if it was? No, SLEAZE Classic is merely the beginning of a new era for us, one more focused on just throwing a damn good party instead of throwing a damn good party every month (it gets tiring after 6+ years y’all!). And to honor this rebirth - and THE weekend 😉 - we’re going back to where it all started, cramped quarters on the second floor of Wonderland Ballroom where you could scarcely escape the smell of sweat, poppers, and fog, the malodorous miasma (💖) of a cadre of q***rs turning it up on a Thursday night. But hey that’s what the patio’s for (besides ci******es!). So it’s back to the old to begin something new, a return to the fold that we hope involves you, and honestly, we can’t fu***ng wait. ###o 😘🫡
