my friend said this: So proud to be able to call Kai Brown my friend. The Stud Slayer documentary gave us raw and tender insight into Kai as a person and how her story came to be. Someone turned to me during the film and said, "This why y'all friends, y'all just a like" 😂 in a way they were right. Witnessesing Kai's life experience as a young q***r gave me the confidence to explore my own life experience and better define not only my wants and needs as a person, but my desires as well. It was people like Kai that gave me the confidence and courage to love and live as open and revolutionary as I do. Who knew as fate would have it, I would meet her and we would share a beautiful friendship. 🥰 Shoutout to Nikki Keown for this, it was a DEEPLY insightful film and I can't wait for more folks to see it. Thank you for pouring your creativity into this and making sure Kai knows the impact she's had while she's here. Too many of our q***r revolutionaries don't get that until they're gone. And big thanks to the hostest with the mostest Jennifer Eden Mx. Eden! You always keep the night going with class and savvy. I loved every moment of this experience. ❤️ Thank y'all for coming together to make this happen.

One year ago today, .boi.neeks and I had our 1st date. I've been madly in love since. I don't know how you put up with me, but I'm so grateful for you. You have loved me, given me grace, been extremely patient with me, and more importantly, made me very happy. I can't wait to see what the next few years with you look like.
