When I first opened Infuxn I had no idea what the hell I was doing. All I had was a vision, a vision of providing Joplin with a unique experience. I surrounded myself with amazing people and set off to bring my vision to life. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but we did it.
Since opening in 2015 I’ve learned that the bar and restaurant business is one of the toughest industries out there. It takes a lot of hard work, time, energy, money, grit, determination, persistence, and heart to make it work. There are times when you’re on the bottom, there are times when you’re on top, and then there are times when you’re hit with a pandemic and life as we know it suddenly stops.
The past couple of months have been hard on all of us; some have struggled to maintain a resemblance of their livelihood; others have struggled to put food on the table. The one thing that is common amongst us all is this pandemic has changed our lives. It definitely has changed mine.
I now have a different perspective on what’s important in my life, what makes me happy, what makes me excited to get out of bed and tackle the day; unfortunately, it’s not the bar and restaurant industry. So, for the time being, Infuxn Kitchen + Cocktails will remain closed.
I don’t know what the future holds for Infuxn. All I do know is that I loved everyone who worked there, who gave their all to make my vision come to life. It was all of YOU that made Infuxn special. Now, YOU get to go and make other places special. I am forever GRATEFUL for all you’ve done.
