Uniontown, PA (January 30, 2026)

ABW Marketing and the Gossip team want to provide a transparent update on where things stand following the Save Gossip Campaign.

First and foremost: thank you to everyone who donated, shared posts, sent messages, and tried to help keep this space alive. We felt the support in a real way.

Here is the clearest breakdown we can provide of the funds raised and where they went:

Total raised: $2,854

Paid to landlord: $1,600 (toward $4,100 past due rent at that time)

Bar restock: $671 (to replenish essentials last week)

Back taxes paid (last two quarters): $514

Remaining balance: $69

Unfortunately, the gap we’re trying to close is still too large for us to reopen right now. On February 1, 2026, we will owe the landlord an additional $5,000 (including another $2,500 in rent), which puts us even further behind.

Because we are so far behind on rent, Gossip will remain closed for now.

That said, we are not giving up. We are actively working through additional options and possible paths forward. As soon as we have concrete next steps, we will share more details with you.

From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for trying to help keep Gossip open. This place has always been bigger than a bar. It’s been a home for people who needed one, and we know how much it means to so many.

Statement on Recent Rumors and Audit Review

Uniontown, PA — ABW Marketing is issuing the following statement to address recent rumors circulating about alleged missing funds during the time Paul Liller served as manager.

Over the past several weeks, we have heard a growing number of claims and conversations suggesting money was “missing.” In the interest of transparency and fairness to everyone involved, a full internal review and audit was completed. That review confirmed that no funds were missing.

We also want to acknowledge that tensions and disagreements can happen in any fast-paced, high-pressure environment—especially one built around people, community, and passion. While Ryan and Paul did have conflict at times, we believe both cared deeply about the success of the bar and the community it serves.

With that said, Ryan, Kyle, and the entire staff extend a sincere apology to Paul Liller for the impact these rumors may have caused. We appreciate the work Paul contributed during his time with us, and we genuinely wish him nothing but success moving forward.

We are asking our community to help put this issue to rest and to refrain from repeating or amplifying claims that are not supported by facts.

ABW Marketing Consulting is issuing the following community impact statement on behalf of Gossip to recognize and document the establishment’s charitable and civic contributions over the past year.

While Gossip is widely known as a local gathering place, the business has also served as an active platform for community fundraising and partnership-driven giving. Through multiple events and collaborations, Gossip and its supporters have helped direct meaningful financial support to local and regional causes, including:

Over $4,000 raised and donated to Relay for Life through various fundraising events

Over $1,400 raised to establish the Renesmay Eutsey Fund, in partnership with the Fayette County Crime Victims Unit, with the fund set to officially launch in 2026

Funds raised and donated to Fayette Friends of Animals

Funds raised and donated to Lungs at Work, supporting Black Lung advocacy and impacted communities

ABW Marketing Consulting recognizes that these outcomes were only possible through community participation and support, and acknowledges the volunteers, partners, performers, staff, and patrons who contributed to these efforts.
