‘Still Life’ with Mammoth Distilling: Franne Roper

Since joining Mammoth in 2018, Franne has worn more than a few hats: bartender, rick house worker, Bellaire tasting room manager and currently office manager and Barrel Club Concierge—whatever the role, she’s approached it with the same enthusiasm and curiosity that seem to carry over into the rest of her life.

When she’s not at Mammoth, you’ll likely find her spending time with her husband, four-year-old son and perpetually energetic cockapoo, Nuggsy. Between gardening, hiking Northern Michigan trails, library visits and nature documentaries, there’s rarely a dull moment. And if there is, there’s always knitting, baking, reading or a little Italian practice waiting in the wings.

Franne describes herself as a stereotypical millennial mom. We don’t think she gives herself enough credit!

All of the grain we use is grown right here in Michigan, and we’re pretty damn proud of that.
