The Cruelty of Our Landlord

For nearly a year, my father fought a long battle with illness. Throughout that time, as he lay in the hospital, our landlord never demanded rent. We believed he had compassion for our struggle. But then, late one night in 1997, my father passed away. The very next day, without a word of sympathy, the landlord handed us a quit notice, demanding we leave the home we called our own.

That moment taught me something important: Life can be harsh and unfair, but you cannot let pain trap you. No matter how heavy your burden, don’t stay stuck—take a step forward, rise above the hardship, and keep moving toward a better tomorrow.

Last night, my wife and I went out to grab a few drinks, just enjoy ourselves. Everything was smooth. We came back home, vibes still high — decided to shower together.

Out of nowhere, she goes, Oh, I miss my ex…😳

I paused. Water still running. My ears were working harder than the showerhead.

I don’t know if it was the alcohol, the steam, or her thoughts that got drunk — but me, I’ve been standing here since, still processing. 😭💔

This guy called VeryDarkMan has now started quoting the Bible to criticize Nigerian pastors. I believe it's time someone calls him to order—or even re-arrests him. Enough is enough with the constant attacks on our spiritual fathers in Nigeria.
