I moved to Ocala, FL to live with my namesake Joseph A III. I meant to put the Blue Room in Facebook as a business I once owned but for some reason it was interpreted another way.
I am well just getting older by the day. Feb 14 this year I was 85 years old. Can you believe that: 85 I was told by a friend of his father "BOY YOU'LL NEVER MAKE IT TO 21" He is gone and his son that was a playmate is gone I love all of you and thank you for the many years of being in business in all the places in Titusville and especially the "BLUE ROOM" that made me. I opened it on April 3rd 1974 after 20 years in the AeroSpace Business split half in half: first with Convair Astronautics headquartered in San Diego, Cal working the Atlas ICBM from research an development to Field Service Engineering all across this great US of A (from San Diego CA to Plattsburg, NY to Spokane Washington to Altus Oklahoma to Cheyenne, Wyoming to Wichita Falls, Texas to Edwards AFB, Lancaster, Calif) the last half with the General Electric Company headquartered out of Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) working Prep and the landing of twelve very brave American Astronauts on the Moon and then bringing them all home safely. Finally the four Skylab Missions which ended in Feb of 1974 after which I bought the Blue Room Lounge in Titusville, Florida and ran it very successfully for 33 years and in July of 2007 Little Joe Williams from Misery Mountain North Carolina became a millionaire as he had planned at the tender age of 12 years old

Did you know that the "Blue Room" in Titusville, Florida was not named after the "Blue Room" in our "White House". It actually was named by one of its first bartenders Ethel Fryer. It was a contest put on by the first owners from Orlando in which she won. It was named after a club on Baltimore Street in Baltimore, Maryland where she had worked. Now you know by the owner for 33 and a half years Joe Williams

The best lounge, nite club, liquor store in town from April 3, 1974 til July 13, 2007. They were the best because we had the best customers for thirty three years three months and ten days. Thanks to all that took part in the ride and what a ride it was!!

From April 3rd 1974 til July 12 2007 my corporation and I owned the following businesses in and around Titusville, Brevard County, Florida Next was the Lamplighter Dining and Lounge (May of 1976 til it burned down in Oct 1984.It was proven in court that the company that was contracted to install automatic
shut off on all fuel sources failed to put automatic shut off on the electricity that was providing power to the Deep Friar which ultimately burned the business to where it was a total loss. It cost Bogg's Fire Equipment insurance company about $750,000.00. In 1978 we bought the club that would become the Grad House Liquors and Nite Club. Ran it for exactly one year then sold it for a considerable long term profit. Then it was the Marker 34 Restaurant and Nite Club. The Florida State Beverage Commission gave us 6 months to get a full liquor licence or they were going to pull the restaurant liquor licence we were operating under because we were not selling the required amount of food.. That is when we purchased the Gas Light Restaurant and Lounge to get the liquor license and then we bought a beer and wine licence for the Gas Light which worked out much to our advantage.
