The client, a sweet young thing by the name of Carol Sharp, lives alone in her New York Penthouse as a playgirl. Tommy holds a hundred and ten thousand dollar policy on her, straight life to benefit her mother and brothers on her death. But now she has instructed Tommy to change the beneficiaries. Thirty thousand to a guy named Tony Ricardo and the other beneficiary is a so-called medium Madame Cecilia. The last case of this happening ended up with the client dead and the medium being convicted of the murder.

About the play: A happy housewife named Marsha, hopelessly addicted to reading murder mysteries, overhears her loving husband discussing her upcoming birthday surprise with an interior decorator. To her ears, though, it sounds like they are planning to murder her! With the assistance of her next-door neighbor, she tries to turn the tables on them with a poisoned potion. When her own mother shows up for her birthday a day early, Marsha thinks she is in on the diabolical scheme. When her maid’s date, a policeman, shows up to take the maid out, Marsha thinks he is on to her poisoning attempt. Well, finally, just when you would think all this would be cleared up, Marsha’s intended victims discover what she has supposed, and decide to teach her a lesson by actually pretending to be murderers.

Thank you to everyone who came to see "Farce of Nature”! Special thanks from Director Paul Ansell, Assistant Director Michele Whelan and Stage Manager, Laurie Failing. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did bringing it to you! We had approximately 850 in attendance over the four shows and it shows just how much our community loves theater! The Pelican Players Scholarship Fund thanks you too! Your attendance provides us the means to fund our scholarship fund allowing us to donate more to our community and give more to local students studying the Arts!

A special thank you to our playbill advertisers, our local newspapers and radios and all of the Pelican Players member volunteers who contributed time and effort in making the show a success!

Here are a few more pictures from the show. We look forward to bringing you our next show "Let's Murder Marsha" July 24-26! There's always fun with the Pelican Players!
