Dart league

The Stuart Sons of the American Legion will be having two soft tip dart leagues this winter/fall session.

The first one will be called a 501 League on Thursday nights starting at 7:00 pm. This will be a two person league. This league will have a full menu like we normally have from the kitchen.

Format:
4 games of 501 - 1 will be a master out
4 games of stacked cricket
1 game of 701 master out

The second will be called a cricket league on Sunday afternoon starting at 4:30 pm. This will be a two person league. This league will have limited food.
Chips and candy bars from the bar and pizza from the kitchen/bar.

Format:
7 games of stacked cricket
1 games of unstacked cricket
1 game of 701 master out

Deadline to sign up for either league is 6:00 pm Friday, February 7.

There is an 8 Team MAXIMUM sign up for each league.

The reason for this to have boards open for make up games from either leagues for the night or open for the general public to come and throw on those nights that it is open for league.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF TEAMS FOR EACH LEAGUE IS 8.

If you don’t have enough for a team, but still wanna play please contact me and we can work with you to try to set you up with a team you would be compatible with.

New Year’s Eve dart tournament.

The Stuart Sons of the American Legion presents a New Year’s Eve High/Low “Luck of the Draw” doubles dart tournament at the Legion in Stuart. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. for setup and open darts. Sign up at 6:30 start throwing by 7:00. This will be a round-robin format tournament limited to the first 24 throwers. The high/low part of the draw is determined by a handicap or skill level. We will split the throwers and then draw a high thrower and then a low thrower to make a team, so everyone is welcome. If you haven’t thrown in a while come early and get the rust off and help us determine your skill level. If you have thrown in the last few years in a league, we should be able to locate a handicap for you. The cost to throw will be determined by how many people we get in the tournament. Board fee and entry fee will be all paid ahead of time. We will pay back four places if we have a full tournament. We will have a drink specials and door prizes. We will have sloppy joes available with chips and a water and table service. A one sandwich meal will be $7.00 dollars and a two sandwich meal will be $10.00. We would also encourage everyone to bring a salad, dessert, or finger food for the remainder of the evening. The bar will be open with two bartenders. Tables and cards will also be available if you want to get your friends together and play pitch. The TV will have the bowl game on, and we have an ATM and a Touch Tunes jukebox site.
