What's something we've become truly known for? Our Barrel Aged Old Fashioneds 🥃

To give this classic cocktail a twist, we add B21 White Rye, orange peels, and bitters to a giant barrel and let it all age together until it turns into a beautifully smooth, ready-to-pour Old Fashioned. Then we muddle in orange slicese and Bada Bing cherries, which are, frankly, divine.

Every Wednesday, take $5 off our Barrel Burger — made with beef from our own A.V. Farms in Penns Valley. Our cattle roam freely on pasture, are raised without antibiotics or growth hormones, and are even fed spent grain from Otto’s Brewery.

Today is National Craft Distillery Day, and we’re raising a glass to the very human way Barrel 21 began.

It started with curiosity. Co-owner Charlie Schnable and a small team of brewers wanted to understand distilling the only way they knew how: by getting their hands into it. They taught themselves batch by batch, making notes, adjusting recipes, learning from the spirit in front of them, and building something from the ground up.

No shortcut. Just trial, patience, a lot of questions, and a steady belief that the work would be worth it.

That same curiosity still shows up in every pour — in the grains we choose, the barrels we fill, the small batches we chase, and the spirits we’re proud to share with you. Thank you for being part of the story. 🥃
