Dear Friends, Guests & Community Members,

As many of you have noticed we have been closed for the last four days. As we deal with this latest round of maintenance issues and repairs, we have decided that this year we will close for the fall/winter season. We are looking forward to reopening early spring/late winter with a revamped menu featuring some of your favorites (Maurice Salad, Reuben Egg Rolls, Fish n Chips etc.) as well as a whole lot of new ones. We intend for the new menu to be a bit more casual and a touch more wallet friendly while still maintaining the focus on regional products and produce (there will still be a healthy dose of Faygo & Better Mades)! We look forward to seeing you all in February/March. In the meantime, we will be continuing to do our best to create a restaurant Grosse Pointe and St. Clair Shores can be proud of.

The Current family would like to send our best wishes to Andrew Sutter. We and many of our guests will miss him as an employee but he is leaving us to pursue his dream in broadcasting as a photo journalist and editor at WNEMTV5news in Saginaw. We will miss you buddy. Boom goes the dynamite!

The Current Food & Libations is looking for polished and professional servers, bartenders, hosts and bussers.
Server and bartender applicants must have experience working in a refined casual restaurant. Applicants must have a basic knowledge of wine varietals, beer selections and bar service as well as the ability to describe and sell specials. We are looking for polished, polite, positive team players. Servers and bartenders are expected to arrive for shifts well groomed and ready to work as professionals on time when scheduled without fail. Pre-bussing, table-side boxing, and a thorough knowledge of the food, wine, beer & cocktail menu are expected as is the willingness to go above and beyond to be accommodating and welcoming to guests.

In addition, we are looking for hosts and bussers. Hosts and bussers are expected to be polite, well-spoken, self-motivated and well groomed.

Full time and part time available.
