Whiskey Wednesday’s featured pour is a bottled-in-bond bourbon of less expected origin: Vermont!

WhistlePig Whiskey ‘s Beyond Bonded bourbon is simple in it’s make up, but robust in its flavors. The mash bill is just corn and rye, both of which are grown on the WhistlePig Farm near the distillery. Caramel, corn, oak and maple notes on the nose lead to maple, oak, and rye spice on the flavor profile. But I’m firmly convinced that everyone’s palate is different, and there might be other aromas and flavors to find. And that’s where the fun part happens!

We’ll be offering 25% off for both pours and in cocktails of the Beyond Bonded this week. Sweetening the deal for tonight, this whiskey makes for a great pairing with our baked wings; whether you just have them with the dry rub, or sauced up with Buffalo or barbecue sauce! This weekend’s featured cocktail is dedicated to the simple joys of summer—soaking up the sun’s rays, listening to some tunes, and feeling a sense of freedom and possibility. It’s inspired by one of my favorite nostalgic summer treats: the cherry cola slushee.

While it’s not a full on frozen drink (because that’s just over-diluting things at the end of the day) Kitty Drinks Cherry Cola will definitely call back to that with its flavors. Consisting of Teeling Whiskey, cherry sangue morlacco liqueur, Bittercube cherry bark bitters, house made vanilla syrup, and a macerated cherry. Because who doesn’t love an ice cold, sweet, boozy treat?
