The Cop Shop documentary is in its final stages of production. The last thing we need is to hear from you all! We'd like to conduct some interviews with our former customers. You guys are what enabled the store to exist and thrive for so long so it's integral that your voices be represented in the film.
We want to hear about your fondest memories of the store, the best In-store performances, the open mics, the Long Island hip hop landscape, and what it meant to have a physical store location to purchase music and interact with other fans. No customer experience is too small and no strange memory is to obscure. We want to hear from as many of you as possible.

CSR Recap: Showing some Long Island love to the Fresh Vetz. They have been a part of plenty of good events as of late. We were glad to be one of them. Its great to see local artists we have history with doing good things. Big ups to Dashah, Dj Pause, Nate Flawless & the entire FVZ team. Support your own!

CSR closing cipher! Peace to all the emcees who rocked over beats by J57 & Dj SupaDave. Im glad all of you made your mark at the event. Also big ups to all the emcees who still came out to support even though they were not on this bill. Comet, Bigs, Lockwise, Centuri, D.A., Spec, Typ Ill & many more. That is a cool mentality to have & will get you further in this game. We always have plenty of talented artists at our events. It was great to see all of you in one room. I hope you took advantage of it & got to build with a lot of good people. We always like to close our shows with a live cipher. It's become tradition

The Cop Shop Documentary...

Last night i went to a BBQ @ Asmatik's house. There was a bunch of good people & Cop Shop fam there including Fro, Kap, As, Babs, Lenny D, Fritz, Comet, KR, Sper & more. They asked me to bring the Cop Shop Documentary trailer with me since we had some issues playing it at the CSR. Just to see everyone's reaction was real cool. Its was very obvious that my close friend Terrence Elenteny did a great job putting it all together. Everyone was real impressed & excited about how official it looked. We ended up watching it twice in a row & then of course started in with all the old CS memories. Sper even came up to me with a genuine pound and said " Thank You .. That was inspiring ". I think anyone who ever came to the store will truly appreciate seeing the documentary when we release it. Even if you are not familiar with The Cop Shop its a great introduction & just a good story in general. I believe in what we did & more importantly what we can do. That Cop Shop name still stands for a lot to many people. Having a night like last night just adds fuel to the fire. We love to contribute what we do to Long Island. And we are honored so many people have love for it. I cant wait to share this documentary with all of you. We will be doing some special things to promote it leading up to the release. Once again special thanks to Terrence Elenteny for making all of this possible. We are lucky to have such good people down with us.

* If you happen to have ANY old Cop Shop footage please hit me up. We have a great amount of footage but are still looking for certain things. There is a decade worth of footage & history that we are trying to capture. You will get credited in our documentary & get all of your footage back. Anyone who contributes would be down with a great project. We would really appreciate any of your help.

Respect to Termanology & Statik Selektah for being a part of the CSR last weekend. Its an honor to have such official dudes go out of there way for our store. We did a bunch of in-store events with both of them in the past. Termanology will also be featured on The Asmatik album. I remember the last in-store we did with Term he autographed the poster " To my favorite record store in the world ". How can you not appreciate people who hold you down like that? Big ups to 1982 & dont forget to cop there new album " 2012 " in stores now. Special thanks to Dan Green, Reks, Dj Deadeye & the whole showoff camp.

John Robinson aka Lil Sci moving the crowd @ the CSR. I have a ton of respect for JR. From good advice, to in-store events or laying a verse for The Asmatik album he has been nothing but good to me. I have been building with JR since i was a little kid. Around the time Scienz Of Life dropped there first few 12''s. Years later we still have a good relationship. Its been a cool experience having that type of access to him. Its hard to find people you can count on in this game. Im lucky to have one in JR. Big ups to Lil Sci for all the years of support. Its appreciated!

Quick pic of The Last Emperor @ The Cop Shop Reunion. Emp has always been very good to the store over the years. The Reunion was much of the same. After we reached out last minute Emp was quick to accept our invite. He drove all the way from Philly to perform some new joints & classics. On the way out he signed some autographs & simply said " Whatever you need i got you .. Anytime " to me. Its so refreshing to get that kind of love from artists i respect. It wasnt long ago before the Cop Shop when i was just a fan happy to hear his music. Years later im still a fan lucky enough to have dudes like this hold me down. Big ups to Last Emperor, King Ranks & his whole camp. Fittingly you will notice the Diamond D frame in the back. Diamond & Emp are currently working on some new music.
