Hey,

That was an awesome Summer, hope you enjoyed it. May have to wear your rain gear for a few more days, but it will warm and poppin' downstairs tonight, at The Sanctuary.

I continue to want to thank you guys that have been coming down, and supporting this party, while we get it back on its feet. Big things are coming, I promise.

Hey,

Here is June Schedule as promised, as always it is subject to change per scheduling conflicts. Our little family seems to be becoming more diverse, or more inclusive, than even the old days. If that is even possible. We were always a pretty "Big Tent" kind of crowd, but these new kids can push the envelope.

We get a few dozen Russian kids, bound and determined to dance until they literally fall over. Exotic dancers, who like to dance for themselves after a night of dancing for other people. Outliers, who are coming from the boondocks... ie. Renton, Federal Way, Auburn. Even Bellingham. Sailors and Soldiers, Ravers and Tourists. Pretty fair mix.

People been coming at all hours, as early as 1:30 and as late as 6:30. It never seems crowded because of the strange schedules.

If everyone showed up at the same time, we would have a pretty good crowd.

And every week someone from Noc Noc shows up, and tells us they have been looking for us. Tells me we still haven't gotten the word out. Obviously any help we can get is greatly appreciated.

Bottom line, we are having a party tonight. At the Sanctuary of course.

Hey Crew,

Another beautiful weekend is upon us, and short shorts and halter tops are springing up all over. Skin that has been covered up all winter long is exploding everywhere, on the beach, on the campuses and in the clubs. And I must say, it is not altogether unwelcome. While I will continue to protest Vic and Kippy proudly strutting their stuff in their European style "man thongs", The rest of you are welcome to bare most of it at The Sanctuary.

We have had an influx of young "exotic dancers" coming to the club, boys and girls, after their other gigs as st*****rs, go-go dancers and cheerleaders. They set the bar pretty high, but the lights are pretty low, feel free to join them and shake what your momma gave you.

We are going to start opening at 12:30, and serving $2.00 well drinks right up to 2:00 am. We will also take $2.00 off any mid or top shelf liquors as well. We have been doing better with drawing crowds after 4:00, but really want to get people in here earlier. So get your bottoms down here, drink some cheap booze, and enjoy the "Pre-function with Dustin".

Also, we have had people ask about sponsoring parties down here, picking the DJs, promoting the night, taking advantage of special perks here-to-fore only whispered about in dark corners of the night time. Plus you get veggies.

Anyway, while things are getting better, we continue to struggle. Any help, from any quarter, in getting people in here and dancing is greatly appreciated. Get at me.

So, as always, tell your friends about a wild party, where everyone is welcome, and almost anything goes. At the Sanctuary of Course.

Hey,

Lots going on in the world, not that you would know it by watching the News. We may have averted WW III by some last minute diplomacy on the part of all the major players. Still to soon to tell if the Russians will stand down. Very complicated, very dangerous.

In more horrific news from Korea, the government is announcing over 300 kids killed in a Ferry Boat incident. Captain told the kids to remain sitting inside while he abandoned ship. Says he feels embarrassed.

And out of Nigeria, over 129 school girls were abducted by "muslim militants", several police officers were killed and buildings were burned and looted.

Still, the American press is reporting on what the American people really want to know:

Breaking News from CNN: "Nope, still haven't found anything to tell you about that airplane."

Breaking News from HLN: "Chelsea Clinton is pregnant."

Breaking news from FOX: "Jesus was White. Santa too. Get over it!"

Breaking News from MTV: "Justin Bieber is a talentless juvenile delinquent, and a Canadian."
(Actually my words, not their's)

It's not entirely our fault that we are stupid. After years of media bashing by the ultra right (Ie. Michelle Bachman and Sarah Pailin), it seems like the networks have given up reporting the news. Hour after hour of filler stories. Its getting old.

On a brighter side, The Sanctuary is still open. The music is still excellent. The food is awesome. Drinks are cold, and the vibe is still there, after all these years. Get your ass down here and join us. It's gonna be a party.

Seattle After Hours & Nightclub

So,

Nice party last weekend. Crowd definitely came late, but it definitely came out for the end of the party. Large group on hand for the 6:00 opener. Reminds me of the old days at Habana's, we wouldn't even open the doors until 6:00. We would close down the Super Highway and the Bohemian, and the crowd, including the staff of both of those clubs, would line up to get in. Dancing, Drinking and Debauchery. In no particular order.

At Larry's we opened at 4:00. Had to have time for our Hip hop customers to leave the block. We also needed two hours to clean the place. It wasn't until we moved to Noc Noc that we began opening at 2:00, or closer to 1:30. Now we can open at 1:00 am, and people have an hour of drinking time when we open.

It doesn't matter to me what time you get here, just get here. And bring some friends with you - boys, girls, transgenders, transponders... whatever. We are a goddamned melting pot. We don't care if you are gay, straight, bi or even republican. Just like to dance, or play pool, or watch old movies.. or hang out with the coolest security guys on the planet.

It's gonna be a party. At the Sanctuary of course.
