DAZED is a few naughty girls and boys who believe wholeheartedly in the healing power and goodness of the discotheque, our temple. We resonate strongly with an ethos perfectly expressed by the legendary Blessed Madonna, an ethos of acceptance, empathy, and support for one another's’ idiosyncrasies:
“Dance needs cranky queers and teenagers who are really tired of this sh*t. Dance music needs poor
people and people who don’t have the right shoes to get into the club. Dance music needs people who struggled all week. Dance music needs people that had to come before midnight because they couldn’t afford full admission. Dance music does not need more of the status quo.”
DAZED emphatically supports the underground legends who paved the path which we now dance along, and we will continue to support those around us who pine with their deepest souls to do the things and hear the sounds which vibrate their dear heart strings. We understand that the aboveground has always been influenced by the underground, and that no corporate interest or moneybags will ever be able to put a finger on our hearts, or to predict where our dancing feet will take us. we create our own happy places – we hustle our asses off to surround ourselves with people we love, in spaces we feel we can be ourselves. we believe that nothing is luckier than hard work, and it is with a great big smile that we accept the weight placed on our shoulders – we are our own source of magic, our own fountain of hope.
