VINYL VILLAGE AT ANALOG WEEKEND

September 5 + 6 | Monkey Loft

As if putting every DJ on vinyl for an entire weekend wasn’t already enough of a beautifully unreasonable idea, we decided the records shouldn’t stay behind the DJ booths.

Introducing VINYL VILLAGE: a pop-up record store inside Analog Weekend.

Crates upon crates of wax. Funk, soul, jazz, disco, house, hip-hop, boogie, breaks, strange imports, forgotten masterpieces, questionable purchases, holy-grail finds, and records you absolutely did not know you needed until somebody three feet away pulled one out of a bin before you did.

This is where the whole Analog Weekend experiment gets physical.

Dig between sets. Hunt down something weird. Argue lovingly about pressings with a stranger. Buy a record because the cover looks completely unhinged. Discover the song you heard somebody play an hour earlier -or the one you’ll spend the next ten years forcing on your friends.

Because Analog Weekend was never supposed to just be about vinyl as nostalgia.

It’s also about records as living things: passed from hand to hand, hunted down, obsessed over, played too loud, rediscovered, sampled, traded, loved, and eventually dragged home under your arm at 3:47 in the morning.

And for one weekend, the whole ecosystem moves inside Monkey Loft.

Hailing from Anchorage, AK, DJ/Producer Pøsterchild has exploded onto the scene, Djing festivals and events all over Alaska. Unbound to venues, he has been throwing impressive renegade parties in remote areas of Alaska, bringing dance music outside the confines of the city and tapping in to the natural stage Alaska provides.
