I feel like Ferris Bueller after the credits - hey, a reference for people as old as me!- telling the audience 'why are you still here? The show's over! Go home!', cuz I keep gettting notes that y'all are still coming to the page. So, well, screw it. Feedback's in the rearview, but I'm still doing a ton of training, consulting, menu writing, and even some bartending. Working for a liquor distributor, and doing some side craft cocktail catering if any of y'all's work companies want to have a booze party, or if you do. Best way to reach me is [email protected]. Well, homeys, this is it. Once more into the fray. I'll be behind the stick one more time tomorrow night, and am still debating whether I should just be all 'waaaah, last time, waaaah, I'm gonna make you what I want, waaaaaah' or be a gentleman and make you things I know you'll love and/or what you, uh, ask for and want. Alright, enough horsesh*t. Thanks you all for 7 great years, and for trusting us to put good booze in front of you. Show up tomorrow, and I will give you my all one more time, and try to make your mouth happy. And I will also try to think of a better way for you to remember cocktail club than the semi-gross saying 'it made my mouth happy'. I'll be there early, so instead of the typical ''say, 6ish?", let's call it 5:30. I know. Awesome, right?

Lots of feelings these last few weeks: Sadness, Nostalgia, Curiosity, Anger, Love, Hate, Indifference, Hunger, Sleepiness, Surprise, Wonder, Itchiness, Loneliness, and....um, bliss? I kinda ran out of emotions there. Anyway, Amanda and Heather have been feeling them/fielding them as well, but they're PROs, dammit, and want to make these last two cocktail clubs special. So they will, like they always have. They will have a whole menu waiting for you, done with pride and skill. Like always. I'll be there too, giving free high-fives.

Friends, since this is the third to last cocktail club ever, and and AND...... Amanda's birthday, she has a special 'Carnivale' menu that'll make you want to shower her in gifts and hot-tubs and money and praise. Also, she's moving to Iowa or Arkansas or something too, so....just like the real world, it's time to stop being polite and start being real. Except, uh, I like politeness, so let's keep that going. But for real, let's show some appreciation for Heather and Amanda and the third best drink you'll be able to get on the westside - with the 2nd best being next week's cocktail club and the best being the LAST cocktail club. I'm telling you, come get 'em.

Alright, my Cocktail Club ladies are getting better and better. So, time for a challenge. Tomorrow night, time to make really good drinks (which of course they will) from local booze. It's been getting better, and there's some good h***h made here these days. They can do it, we both know it, so give in. Getcha some local h***h made by our talented slingers. Let's say, 6ish?

A/H 'South of the border'
Me: 'What border? How far south? Drinks of Antarctica? Australia? Other places I can't think of?
A/H: 'No. Also, duh. Cachaca, Mezcal, Sotol, Pisco. ALL OF IT!!!
Me: 'K. Looove yooouuuuuuuuuu'
It didn't happen that way at all, but you get the idea. On a serious note, I'd like to say that these 'tenders have amazing game. If you haven't tested their skills yet, the time is now.

Still hot. STILL HOT! Anyhoo, makes sense that since Wade's getting all tropical with his delicious fresh sheet, and Morgan's doing 'Tropicallia' music-ing things, so Amanda and Heather are doing, and I quote, "tropical drinks. Super-duh." That means Spiced Iced Rum Tea, Fresh Peach Colada Thingy, Black Eyed Amanda (just go with it), and.... Banango Unchained! Also, Old Man Johnson is gonna get behind the bar and try out some new drinks for this other consulting gig thingy, so... yay! Boring Old Man Getting In The Way!

Our lovely Amanda and Heather are doing a little cross-promo for the return of our Monday night Movies That Rock this week, and they're putting some delicious brain-thought into it. I'm coming in for this tomorrow night myself, cuz A) they sound delicious, and B) we have some killer A/C and I'm now becoming a sissy when it comes to the heat at night. Plus I miss you all like the flowers miss the rain. For example:

-a Damiana cocktail inspired by Spinal Taps song "S*x Farm"

-a sazarac for the Blues Brother song "New Orleans"

-an elevated Blue Grass Cocktail for the O Brother Where Art Thou Soggy Bottom Boys band

-an elevated sparkling new zealand cocktail with passion fruit, grand marinier, and persecco for Flight of the Conchords song "Foux di Fafa"

- and The Jeffery, inspired by Aldous Snow in Get Him To The Greek with Kiwi, Mint, Lime, and Tequila.

I also bet, without even checking with H and A, that they can come up with other drinks based on your movie favorites. They may be mad at me for that. I apologize in advance.

Lots of different opinions on what's the most bats**t crazy state in the country, but my bet's on where our DJ Kingblind is vising this week, Florida. Paying tribute to our guy Morgan, of course, as well. Amanda did some figuring and it's the biggest citrus state in the country, as well as the highest consumption of magical, delicious Rum. So there you go: Floridita Daiquiri, Rum Runner, Rum Daisy, Agricole Punch, and thousands more. Challenge Amanda - cuz she can do it, I promise.

Thursday night gals: 'We're making tea cocktails, cuz it's f***ing hot."
Me: 'Sounds good. Maybe a little more detail, please"
TNG: 'Mia Thai Iced Tea. Blackberry Bourbon Black Tea. Watermelon White Tea Margarita. Ginger and bitter peach green teani."
Me: 'Guhhhh, those sound really REALLY good (considers hanging up creative cocktail hat and handing off to TNG).
So, yeah, cool down with this magical booze. And also air conditioning. But mostly, the booze.

Amanda wants to do drinkies that relate to June's holidays, but not the ones you're thinking: Tomorrow, evidently, is Hug Your Cat Day, Old Maid's Day, and Applesauce Cake Day. It's also Rose Month, which goes pretty well with what we can do. Floral is one of those flavors people think of as all sweet girly drinks, but there are flowers in Vermouth, Bitters, Liqueurs, and a bunch of other booze. That'll be the base for tomorrow night, but I still think you should make Amanda do a cocktail in honor of hugging your cat. Please let me know how that goes. Let's say 6ish.
