Friday, 7/19 Cherry welcomes the inimitable ASH LAURYN! She’ll be flanked by Seattle favorites MANWELL and SUSH to make for an amazing buffet of choice house cuts!

Ash Lauryn balances between two worlds, with an old-school house-head foundation and a digital age suaveness, blending her skills as a deejay, writer, curator, and radio host to champion black dance music. Discovering her passion for music in her native Detroit, she was inspired to start deejaying in her current residence Atlanta, taking inspiration from the legendary Kai Alce of NDATL and Vicki Powell.

Lately, Ash was nominated for DJ of the Year at the 2021 Bembe DJ Awards and participated in Virgil Abloh’s Off-White SS21 “Imaginary TV” platform. She’s currently working on music production with her partner Stefan Ringer, and they released their first project together, the Expressions EP, in August of 2020.

Manwell is a DJ from the East Coast of South Florida, now planting roots in Seattle. With a passion for dance, soul, and funk music. Manwell began his DJ journey to share his love for these genres with the world. As he delved deeper into the world of dance music, he discovered a profound connection with Deep House, Tech House, UK Garage, and Techno.Drawing inspiration from the sounds of the early 90s to mid 2000s Chicago, New York, and Detroit house and techno scene, as well as the current minimal deep tech European scene, he began crafting his own unique sound. It wasn’t long before he found his home in Seattle’s rich and tight-knit dance music community. The city’s vibrant scene and array of talented artists, DJs, and producers fueled his ambition, pushing him to develop his skills and refine his sound.

Sush is a DJ and writer based in Seattle with a passion for global dance music and learning about its diasporic intersections. Inspired by her background in movement, you’ll expect a canvas of groovy basslines, traditional house blends, and cuts from the underground.

Berlin’s Cinthie has grown to become one of the most revered and respected figures in contemporary electronic music in recent years both in her hometown and across the globe. Her touring schedule regularly sees her playing her inimitable DJ style in hotspot cities like Paris, London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Stockholm, Seoul, Osaka, and of course her beloved hometown Berlin.

Meet Snapdragon, the unstoppable force whose name embodies her passion for flowers and the dance floor. This Seattle producer is an important artist to watch and has been featured on Beatport charting releases for Uniting Souls Music, Feral One Records, Late Night Munchies, and more. In 2023, her melodic performances were applauded by the Seattle Symphony and legendary artists Gabriel & Dresden, Le Youth, Kasablanca, and Romain Garcia. Snapdragon’s style shines brilliantly in her music, earning her acclaim from Seattle’s KEXP-FM radio as an artist with ‘eyes firmly on the dancefloor.

Soraya is an Iranian-American DJ/producer from Seattle. She first fell in love with house music on a family wedding dancefloor when she was ten years old. On the floor, Soraya blends minimal, deep house, dub techno, afro, UKG, and more.....As for her selections, she is inspired by the eclectic sounds of jazz, french touch, and 90s hip hop.
Soraya’s mission is simple - to bring sexy grooves and feelings of love and happiness to the dancefloor.
