PHS Astronomy Club We're the Astronomy Club at Prospect! We meet Fridays at lunch in Room 67, or Mr. Chisholm's room. Hello everyone!! We are the Prospect High School Astronomy Club.

Don't worry, you don't need to prep the survival gear. Asteroid 2018 CB is passing by Earth at a distance of 39,000 miles (20% one lunar distance) at 2:30 pm today!

Two small recently discovered asteroids are safely passing by Earth within one lunar distance this week.

Congratulations, SpaceX! It's a big day for space exploration, as in the future, the Falcon Heavy is set to go to Mars! This is an epic milestone for private spaceflight and for reusable rockets.

The world's most powerful rocket, SpaceX's Falcon Heavy, roared into space through clear blue skies in its debut test flight on Tuesday from a Florida launch site where moon missions once began, in another milestone for billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk's private rocket company.

A time lapse video of the January 31, 2018 Lunar Eclipse, taken from 4:00 am to 6:00 am. Totality began at 4:50 am, but the moon went out of our field of view as it was reappearing. It came back soon, and then set below the mountains around 6:00 am.
