Catch at this weekend's End-of-Summer BBQ Block Party!

VMGC Designs is a family-run business founded by San Jose natives Lawrence and Vanessa during the height of COVID, when they began creating face masks for their community. As customers began requesting custom designs, their passion project grew into a creative business offering custom apparel and accessories.

Their love for San Jose and its community is at the heart of what they do, inspiring them to create unique, personalized pieces they know their customers will love. You can find their pop-up shop at events throughout Downtown — stop by and see what they’re creating!

Behind both wine brands is , Owner & Winemaker and an accomplished sommelier with experience in Michelin-starred restaurants. Now producing highly acclaimed wines from top vineyards in Santa Barbara, he’ll be pouring two of his newest releases at the Block Party: Syrah and Cabernet Franc.bernet Franc, made with grapes from top vineyards in Santa Barbara.

Our End-of-Summer BBQ is bringing together some of San Jose’s local talent—and we’re excited to welcome to the Block Party!

Meet Ivette, San Jose native, pastry chef, and the owner behind the business. After leaving the corporate kitchens of Big Tech, Ivette followed her passion for creating desserts that blend her love of baking with the Mexican flavors and traditions that shaped her.

The result? Whimsical, edible works of art as playful as they are delicious. Think churro sammies, Duvalin brownies, and dreamy buttercream cakes—bold flavors, nostalgic inspiration, and personality in every bite.

Meet our next San Jose partner: 🍧

Founded by San Jose brothers Mauricio, Luis, and Gabriel Salazar, Paleta Planeta began in their parents’ garage in 2021, inspired by their family’s connection to Tocumbo, Michoacán and the tradition of Mexican paletas.

Today, they’re known for their handcrafted paletas, bringing colorful, creative flavors and a taste of that tradition to Downtown San Jose. We’re excited to have them partake in our End-of-Summer BBQ Block Party!

Happy hour has arrived at Eos & Nyx. 🍸 Join us for a new lineup of bites, including our Flatbread Mornay made with Italian sausage, mozzarella di bufala, and broccolini or Crispy Fish Tacos with chipotle slaw and seasonal salsa.
