Every great bar has a story. Ours goes back over 160 years. The mahogany bar at The Devil's Acre was custom built in Pittsburgh, PA in the 1860's and shipped around Cape Horn to San Francisco, where it served as the cocktail bar inside the Apothecaries' Hall at the Grand Hotel. It survived the 1906 earthquake and fire, made its way to North Beach, then crossed the Pacific to Hawaii — where it poured drinks at Pancho & Lefty's Cantina in Old Town Lahaina for three decades. In 2014, it finally came home to San Francisco, and now lives right here on Columbus Ave where it's been serving ever since. Come pull up a stool and drink at a piece of history 🥃

In the 1850s, the original Devil's Acre was the Barbary Coast's beating heart - a maze of saloons, gambling dens, and dance halls where anything could happen (and usually did). It was dangerous, lawless, and absolutely legendary.

Today? We're pouring better drinks and you'll actually make it home. But the spirit of mischief remains. 🥃✨
