Today we learned that the Finocchio’s family lost another one of it’s members. The fabulous Jelousy Jiggetts lost his battle with cancer on Saturday, June 18th. One of the kindest Drag Queens you could have ever met and such a great entertainer. So many wonderful memories of Jelousy on and back stage at Finocchio’s.
Fly free Jelousy, you will be truly missed.

We have someone that is looking for information on their great grandfather… If anyone has any information, please let us know. Thank you.

Hi, I am doing some research to try and find out who my great grandfather is. The person who I have narrowed down through research and DNA matches was a man named Clayton Gerald born in 1906 in Worcester, MA. Through a WWII draft card, I learned at some point he moved to San Francisco and his employer is listed as Finocchio's. A 1940 census record stated that he was a singer there and he went by the name Gerald Clayton. Do you have any information on this person? Thank you for your time.

Very sad to hear this.

This treasured San Francisco staple is renowned as much for its spectacularly sculptural headgear as its content.

I am posting this message on behalf of Rachel McCarthy James. She is looking for information on Joseph “Jae” Stevens. Jae was a performer at Finocchio’s in the early 1970s and was murdered by a serial killer labeled the Doodler in January of 1974.

Good afternoon- I'm doing research on behalf of a true crime project focusing on a string of killings in San Francisco in the 1970s. One of the victims, Jae Stevens, was a performer at Finocchio's. I was hoping that you could direct me towards someone who might remember him or the summer of 1974 at Finocchio's. Thank you for your time! Best, Rachel McCarthy James
