This drink is true celebration of winter in California, and it has a great story. Bacas Blood: Bacanora, Local Aperitif, Blood Orange, and Banane. The drink is inspired in two parts; I first came up with a version of this "Blood and Sand" at when a cook named Kyle Baca wanted a drink named after him, so I thought it obvious to reach for Bacanora ( an earthy agave distillate. Blood orange is a winter orange, in fact it needs the cold nights to produce the flavinoids that bring on it's red hue and floral flavor. We use a local Aperitif and finish the pairing with some liqueur that can best be described as bananas foster. Definitely Improved this time around as we tweaked and changed ingredients. Come n get it
