To celebrate this year’s Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, we’re hosting an exclusive dinner party with our friends at Glenfiddich in honor of the distillery's partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One™ Team. The Supper culinary team will be serving a Scottish-inspired dinner, featuring venison tartare, whisky-cured salmon, braised lamb with roasted turnips, and blueberry cheesecake with juniper and rosemary — each paired with a distinctive Glenfiddich expression, including the limited-edition Glenfiddich & Aston Martin Formula One™ Team 16 Year Old. One of Sternewirth's most interesting stories hangs from 25 feet overhead. The monumental chandelier illuminating our bar began its life as antique bottle-labeling machinery from the original Pearl Brewery, before award-winning master San Antonio blacksmith and beloved Emma “Maker” Robert Diaz de Leon transformed it into one of the hotel’s defining works of art. Every visit to Sternewirth offers another chance to look up, look around, and look closer at all the distinctive details that make up our historic home.

I-35 BAR EXCHANGE - TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1 | Our friends from Austin are making the trip down I-35 next week! Join the Sternewirth at Hotel Emma, thebaratmixtli, and Bar 1919 teams as we welcome Nickel City, Murray’s Tavern, thehaciendaatx, and Modern Bar to celebrate the shared hospitality that’s long connected our two bar communities. Bright citrus, fresh herbs, botanical spirits, and house-made ingredients come together in our curated selection of zero-proof drinks like the classic “Prohibition Punch.” This sweet-yet-tart concoction is made with grapefruit, lemon, honey, strawberries, peach bitters, and sparkling water — inspired by the historic Pearl Brewery’s Prohibition era, when President Emma Koehler kept her business running by producing ### Pearl “near b**r” with little or no alcohol content.
