PROMO: A retailer on the Main Avenue Strip has purchased the sign of the Saint Showbar and will restore it for display at their store.

Ouch Apparel, which is located at 1424 N. Main Ave., occupies the storefront where the Saint did business for over a decade before the bar moved three blocks south to 800 Lexington Avenue across the street from Club Essence.

Ouch Apparel’s family, is inviting the community to the dedication and re-lighting of the Saint’s sign on Saturday, April 9.

“This is a perfect time for our community to come together and cherish the memories we once held in this iconic club,” Widener said in a press release. “What better way to celebrate such memories in the Saint’s original location and the lighting of its infamous sign.”

“The Saint was a legend back in the day,” Widener adds. “It was a blessing to have been able to go and watch the showgirls preform. Last year we lost a legend here in SA — Jenny McCall. She was a long time supporter of Ouch and a close friend. We will also be dedicating this sign to her plus all the past show girls who walked on the Saint’s stage.”

Ouch Apparel, 1424 N. Main Ave., presents dedication of the Saint Showbar sign on Saturday, April 9 at 10 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.
