The noun “provocateur”, is borrowed from French and derives from Latin “provocare”, meaning “to call forth”. Perhaps we use “provocateur” to describe one who incites another to action, instead of simply “provoker” because of “agent provocateur”, a French term literally meaning “provoking agent”. Both “agent provocateur” & “provocateur” refers to someone whose job is to incite or persuade people to act outside of the norm or against the law. Although we would never suggest that anybody breaks the law, we most certainly created this nightlife venue in SLC thinking outside the box. In contrast to many SLCity-centric nightlife venues which now exist, we promote an after hours haven, widening that city play window, which entwines a lounge-like setting for your after hours musings, as well as a high energy nightlife experience, with DJ’s, different sounds, and lots of extras to entice debauchery and playfulness. Come play with us and see why you would want to indulge yourself by picking us for your next event.
