A mother is the only person who can take something so simple like a meal and turn it into the best part of the day. Maybe “made with love” really is the secret ingredient. You can see that love in every card stain, every handwritten recipe, every dish passed from one kitchen table to another.
Granny’s monkey bread made on slow weekend mornings. Grandma’s baked mashed potatoes showing up at Thanksgiving and stealing the show. Grandma Sandy’s strawberry pie carrying memories of sticky fingers and berry picking in the summer sun.
They’re more than recipes. They’re a chronicle of love. Built from every “y’all come eat,” every “are you sure you don’t want seconds?” and every “yes, you can lick the spoon” that only a mother can say in a way that somehow stays with you forever.
Today we’re cherishing all the women who’ve loved us through food, conversation, comfort, and care. The ones who fed not only our stomachs, but somehow, our hearts too. Thank you for the warmth you bring into this world, for the traditions you keep alive, and for reminding us that sometimes the very best memories are made around a table.
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Crimson Still.
