We meet every Tuesday night inside the DoubleTree Hilton/Visions Dance Club; 1021 Koger Center Blvd, N. Welcome to the Richmond Shag Club! ❤️🎶🕺💃

The Richmond Shag Club (RSC) page is all about sharing our love of Carolina shag, beach music, and dancing! Our page is intended to be an informational and welcoming place for shaggers and anyone interested in learning more about this great dance. We share information about RSC events and club nights, shag events throughout Virginia and beyond, lessons, contest videos, dance tips, and other shag-related content—including opportunities to give newer shaggers a little inspiration and exposure. Whether you're a seasoned shagger, just learning your basics, or simply love the music and atmosphere, we hope you'll find something here that makes you want to get out on the dance floor! A Little About Us

The Richmond Shag Club was founded in 1986 by a small group of lovers of shag, bop, and other forms of swing dance. In 1987, the club joined the Association of Carolina Shag Clubs (ACSC). Today, we meet at Visions Dance Club, located inside the DoubleTree by Hilton in North Chesterfield, Virginia. The objective of the Richmond Shag Club is simple: bring people together through our mutual love of Carolina shag. Through our shared passion, RSC works to promote and preserve the shag dance and beach music tradition in Richmond and Central Virginia while creating opportunities for people to learn, dance, make friends, and have a whole lot of fun along the way! So whether you're already a shagger or just curious about what all the fuss is about...
