Richmond Shag Club (RSC) page is intended to be informational to promote our club, RSC events, other shag events as well as offer exposure for newer shaggers (like YouTube videos of contests, lessons, etc.). The Richmond Shag Club was founded by a small group of lovers of shag, bop and other forms of swing dance in 1986. The club joined the Association of Carolina Shag Clubs (ACSC) in 198

7. We are currently meeting at Visions Dance Club located in the Doubletree Inn by Hilton. The objective of the Richmond Shag Club is to bring people together with mutual interests in shag dancing. Through unity in our shared interest, the club works to promote and preserve the shag dance and beach music in the Richmond and central Virginia area.
