From the desk of our mix-master, Scott:
It has been nearly 9 years since I first stepped behind this bar, and we opened our doors! It is crazy how time flies!
Thanks to everyone who has been a part of those 9 years on both sides of the bar.
My passion project started as just that, a passion project. I did everything from choosing the glassware, creating the cocktails and colors, working every weekend, etc. and then slowly a team was built with Ashley and Nikole being the first 2 crafters in what is now an extended Thirsty's family. Mike joined in to take on the Sunday morning Bloody Mary bar our first summer. Elizabeth assisted with our events as the best cocktail waitress and beer and wine server, a place could ever ask for. Travis took off his valet cap and put on the crafting vest and covered for me when I needed time off. Bravo and Emily covered a few shifts and then after the COVID shutdown returned to help. Then came Connor, who became his own little institution at Thirsty's and actually created a few cocktails that are on our menu. Lindsey came next, creating her own loyal following. Paige changed sides of the bar to help us out for a time. Then Ashley, Shonn and Lori joined in to make sure that Thirsty's Cocktails & Lounge could continue into 2024. Lori stayed on and we added David and Celeste just before the start of 2025. We briefly added Fanci to our roster of crafters, and we finished 2025 with Lori, Celeste and I creating random acts of deliciousness every weekend. And I would be remiss to not mention one of the most fabulous human beings I have ever had the pleasure to work alongside of, Kathleen, who hosted and planned many a Thirsty's event in her time here with us. I would like to take this chance to welcome our newest crafter to the Thirsty's team, Ann. She begins her training on January 9th.
We are the little speakeasy that could! So, this weekend, this month, this year, whether you have been with us all along or you have never had the chance to visit, come on by and enjoy one of the best tasting cocktails or mocktails you can imbibe, in the only place any of them can be imbibed in. Enjoy our weekly crockpot crafted snack from our crockpot, have a conversation with us or your pals, listen to a "Scott Story", party with Hugh & Audrey, dip your toes in our pool, ask to see Thirsty McDirsty and genuinely chill-ax in the best kept secret in Reno.
